The U.S. - China Business and Culture Exchange, Inc. (UCBCEC), in conjunction with its partner school, Jinhua Polytechnic, seeks ESL instructors for a unique teaching experience in the People's Republic of China beginning in late August, 2015.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic educators with a sense of humor, adventure and an interest in Chinese culture to help improve the English proficiency of first and second year college students who will seek admission to Kaplan University at Hagerstown for completion of a bachelor of science in Business/Accounting.
The ESL curriculum aims to prepare students to pass the ITEP Core examination for entrance to the University. Emphasis will be on ESL subject matter support in Business/Accounting/Finance. Significant focus is on speaking and listening skills, reading comprehension and composition. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Must hold a bachelor's degree and ESL or TESOL certification. Previous experience is preferred. Must be a native speaker of English. Curriculum development skills and a willingness to innovate in the creation of supplemental materials will be helpful.
Jinhua is a friendly city of 4 million people located in eastern China, approximately 3 hours train ride from Shanghai and 90 minutes train ride from Hangzhou. It has a temperate climate, and its people are curious, helpful and welcoming.
